Where Do Fort Lauderdale Sunset Cruises Leave From

The three docks and their addresses
This is the single most expensive mistake a reader of this site can make: turning up at the wrong dock. Here is which boat leaves from where.
| Dock | Address | Coordinates | Boats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bahia Mar | 801 Seabreeze Blvd | 26.11352, −80.10712 | Sea Rocket, dinner cruise, Staying Afloat downtown & private charter |
| Sebastian St | 2900 Sebastian St | 26.12414, −80.10603 | Riverfront (Millionaire’s Row, Venice of America) |
| Las Olas Circle | 301 Las Olas Circle | 26.11939, −80.10816 | Water Taxi Premier |
Distances and what they mean
Bahia Mar and Sebastian St are 0.77 miles apart — a 15–20 minute walk. If you are dropped at the wrong one you are either too early or too late. Las Olas Circle is adjacent to Las Olas Promenade Park (0.03 miles), which is 0.35 miles from Sebastian St.
Downtown Riverwalk, where the free New River sunset walk is, sits 2.44 miles from any of the three docks — not walking distance from a boat appointment. Plan on rideshare or transit.
Bahia Mar Resort & Yachting Center
Four of the six departures are here. Sea Rocket, Staying Afloat (both the downtown and private charter options), and the dinner cruise all depart from here. Parking at Bahia Mar Resort is approximately $10, listed as not included unless it is (Staying Afloat includes it; Sea Rocket does not). The resort offers valet, or the Fort Lauderdale Beach municipal lot, or rideshare drop-off as alternatives.
Check-in 15 minutes early for the boats; 30 minutes for the dinner cruise. The red, white and blue parasail boat behind the Sushi Song kiosk is the dinner cruise’s departure point (A-Dock).
2900 Sebastian Street
Riverfront Cruises departs here for the 75-minute Millionaire’s Row and Venice of America cruises. This is a dead-end road where the boat arrives. No signage. Use Google Maps only — the listing warns that other mapping apps give the wrong address.
Parking: the operator lists public garages 0.3 miles away (about a 10-minute walk), with no parking by the boat. Check-in is 15 minutes early. Arrive 30 minutes early if you are walking from a garage.
A real review: Debbie (United States, July 2026) had a 94-year-old mother with her. The temporary pickup spot was harder than expected; she nearly gave up, and the crew helped her mother aboard and looked after her while Debbie parked. The meeting point is genuinely confusing, and the crew really do handle it.
301 Las Olas Circle
Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi departs here for the 90-minute daytime sightseeing cruise (11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM). This dock is adjacent to Las Olas Promenade Park. Parking nearby; no special instructions.
The arrival rule that applies everywhere
The boat leaves without you. Arrive 15 minutes before departure, or 30 minutes for the dinner cruise. Latecomers are not refunded. Riverfront’s listing puts it bluntly: “There is absolutely no way to contact the boat to ask it to wait.” Check-in, find your zone or group, settle in, and be on the boat on time. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure if you find out you can’t make it — that is what free cancellation is for.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the sunset cruises leave from?
Three docks: Bahia Mar Resort (Sea Rocket, dinner, Staying Afloat downtown and private), 2900 Sebastian St (Riverfront Millionaire's Row), and 301 Las Olas Circle (Water Taxi). They are not close to each other. Check your confirmation for the exact dock.
How far apart are the docks?
Bahia Mar and Sebastian St are 0.77 miles (15-20 min walk). Las Olas Circle is adjacent to Las Olas Promenade Park (0.03 miles from each other). Downtown Riverwalk is 2.44 miles from any dock — too far to walk in time for a boat.
What happens if I turn up at the wrong dock?
The boat you booked is not there, and the boat that is there leaves without you. Turn up at the correct dock. Your confirmation email says which one.
What time should I arrive?
Fifteen minutes early for most cruises, 30 minutes early for the dinner cruise. Latecomers are not refunded, and the boat leaves without you. This is not a suggestion.
What about parking?
Bahia Mar parking is approximately $10. Staying Afloat includes it in the $55 price. Sea Rocket does not. Sebastian St has public garages 0.3 miles away. Las Olas Circle has nearby parking. The $55 Staying Afloat cruise includes parking and hotel pickup, which covers a visitor without a car.
Can I get parking information before I book?
Yes — it is on each operator's listing. Check the listing for your boat before you confirm, and check your confirmation email for the exact dock and arrival time.
