Fort Lauderdale sunset cruise reviews

I’ve read through the traveller reviews for the main sunset and evening cruises departing Fort Lauderdale and written an honest assessment of each one: what you actually get, what to expect on the water, and where the gaps are. The cheapest cruise here sails only at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM and never catches sunset — but it rates well for daytime sightseeing, so I’ve flagged that up front.
Know your date?Departure times are fixed but sunset moves by nearly three hours across the year, so the calendar is the only place to confirm a boat is still out when the sun goes down. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.

The one with the reviews to back it
Of the three reviewed here, only the $55 downtown cruise has a sample worth reading — 4.7 from 61 reviews. The Sea Rocket’s 3.7 from 52 is a real score and a middling one. Read both reviews before you decide; this is the boat most people end up on.
Frequently asked questions
Why only three detailed reviews?
I review cruises with real traveller data to judge fairly. The downtown cruise has 61 reviews, Millionaire’s Row has 496, the Sea Rocket has 52. The other three cruises have 3, 2, and zero reviews respectively — real boats, but too thin to assess with honesty. See the full cruise list for all six.
Do I actually need to book a boat?
No. The free sunset walk along the New River downtown runs east–west and you can look straight down the water at the setting sun. The light lasts about 25 minutes past sunset, and the whole thing costs nothing. But read what the free version is before you decide it covers what you want — the boat adds things the shoreside walk doesn’t.
Are these reviews independent?
Yes. I’m an independent guide, not a cruise operator. I earn a small affiliate commission if you book through my links, at no cost to you, but that never changes what I write.
